EPISODE SIX, Everyone!!! :)

Creators: writerfreak001 & badgerinthetardis11

We are BACK!!!!

The Robots of Sherwood

Episode 3 finds a skeptical Doctor and a very excited Clara in the middle of Sherwood Forest alongside the handsome archer, Robin Hood and his Merry Men. From the sword fight with the spoon to shooting the golden arrow this episode was brilliant! It was a little lighter than what we’ve seen so far this series and it was nice. Mark Gatiss did spledidly with this episode! As a long term fan of the Robin Hood legends I felt that this portral did the character justice.

And once again, Capaldi is knocking it out of the park as the Doctor!

Some key points to note though:
-No Missy this episode and the only death was not caused by The Doctor

-The peck on the cheek: the bit after The Doctor was pecked on the cheek (by…was that Marian?) he felt his cheek with a pensive (is that the right word?) look…Almost like he had forgotten what that felt like…I think we need to keep that moment in mind. I feel like its going to be important later.

-Robin’s speech: what he said about stories and such I think really struck a chord with the Doctor. Perhaps he realized in that moment that he and Robin Hood were more alike than he would have thought

-The Promise Land: 3 episode this has been mentioned…seriously what is this place? Perhaps its where Missy dwells? I feel like we’re going to find out closer to the end the season what this place is (I hope so anyway. Please don’t make this a red herring, Moffit!)

Overall, fantastic episode! After watching the preview for “Listen” I’m not sure I’m going to be able to sleep tonight! Haha Anyway I look forward to next weeks episode! :)

"Am I a good man?"

** WARNING SPOILERS BELOW**
After watching Season 8 Episode 2 “Into the Dalek”, I think one thing is evident. This season is going to be a question of The Doctor’s morality. In the months leading up to his regeneration The Doctor went through so much and believed that he was not a good guy. This clearly seeped through to his next regen. This is the second episode in a row in which The Doctor lets something happen without thinking twice.

In “Deep Breath” we can assume that The Doctor pushed the Clockwork man out the door. And then here in “Into the Dalek” he lets two soldiers die and doesn’t feel remorse…at least not after the first one died. After the second death, he sort of turned around not wanting to think about what he just let happen.

Clara is clearly conflicted. In her heart she wants to believe that The Doctor is good, but what she witnessed in the Dalek makes it difficult to make a decision. She has seen The Doctor at his best and at what she previously thought was his worst…but that was 11. She wants to believe that 12 is the same person, but when a situation like this arises its hard to know what to believe.

I think the same goes with the audience. The writing in this episode draws the audience in putting them in the same mind set as Clara, showing them what she sees. As an audience we’re used to the happy madman with a box. We’re used to seeing a Time Lord who turns away from violence and won’t let a person die if he knows he can save them…but 12 is different. He’s struggling inside as to whether or not he is a good man. His internal conflict says something and I think we’ll find that answer as the season progresses.

While I have loved every second of this new season, and think that Capaldi is freaking awedome, like Clara I’m conflicted about The Doctor’s character. I have a feeling that in the end, he’s going to have to make a decision and that decision will determine the answer to the underlying question of this season. (I really hope he see’s that he’s a good guy!)

Some other points from the episode:
-Danny Pink. Dunno if anyone else caught this but Danny seems to be the human parrallel to The Doctor. Clearly struggling with the same thing as The Doctor. I feel like Clara is going to be the one to make them both realize that they are, in fact, good men. I like Danny so far and look forward to seeing more of him.

-Missy. Who the hell is she? My sis pointed out that the two people we see with her from these past 2 episodes are both people that The Doctor knew or wish he could have saved. Is she collecting them to test The Doctor? I really want to know!

Well that’s all I have for now! I can’t wait for next week’s episode! It’s Robin Hood!!!

In case you have not read the first ten chapters of Something Bigger, there are times when Dean hits on Tess. If SPN & BATB merged into one series, we would ship Dess.
NOTE FOR BATB FANS: We created this shipment long before JT&T became a thing. ;)

The New Doctor

Well after viewing the series 8 premier of Doctor Who, I’m pretty sure I love 12! But not in the ways that I loved 10 and 11. I feel like 12 has brought back that grandfatherly feel that we had with 1, but yet there are so many bits of his personality that reflect every single face he’s had throughout the years. He seems charming and fun, but yet he’d take you and comfort you only how your grandfather would.

Also his Scottishness is amazing! I’m super excited about this because Scottish people are cool! I love that the team behind DW is allowing Capaldi to use his own accent, I think it adds something to the character and its fantastic!

I can tell already that Capaldi’s run is going to be brilliant and I can’t wait to see more!

PS…WARNING SPOILERS BELOW

Who the hell was that woman at the end? And do we really know if the Doctor pushed the clockwork-like-dude out of the door or did he go himself??? But seriously, who was that woman? Are we seeing the return of the Classic Who character, the Rani???

Good morning Tumblr, how are we on this fine morning?
