Basically I'm a Potterhead, Whovian, Sherlockian, huge GoT, Merlin, and Supernatural, Arrow, Marvel, Sleepy Hallow, Percy Jackson, and BATB fan!
Sleepy Hollow returned to our screens on Monday night, picking up where it left us at the end of last fall. Season 2 is looking to be just as phenomenal as Season 1! So lets talk about the premiere!
It began with Ichabod and Abbie in what can be safely assumed to be Purgatory, only they don’t know that. They were told that Jenny and Katrina were both killed and that a year has passed since, but several signs show that clearly they have no clue that what they are experiencing is not real. Like Ichabod’s inability to breathe at certain points. But anyway! They discover that they can get ahead in this thing, by finding a key, the very key that Benjamin Franklin had tied to the kite during a lightening storm. We also find out that Ichabod was Ben Franklin’s apprentice.
The pair go visit Henry Parrish or Jeremy or whatever you want to call him. And that is when their eyes are opened to the fact that nothing but the information about the key, which is a key to purgatory, is real. And Parrish used this to get information about the key. Ichabod promises to get the key and return to save Abbie. The rest of the episode is focused on finding this key and getting Abbie back.
Some of my favorite moments:
-Ichabod’s attempt at recording the video as well as driving
-Ichabod’s explosive escape from the grave
-Abbie being a bad ass in Purgatory.
-Jenny’s escape from Parrish’s men
This season, some questions after the episode:
-Where is Captain Irving and how do we get him back?
-Whats up with the Black Knight looking dude? My sister thinks he’s the true face of the Horseman of War.
Overall, this was an awesome episode and I look forward to seeing what this season has in store. We”re off to an intense start!
